City of Black Hawk Road Closures:
Ongoing — Selak & Gregory Streets
During this phase of the City's Gregory Street realignment project, road and lane closures are expected to continue. Please be aware of the possible delays along lower Gregory Street when making travel plans. When possible, one or both lanes will remain open and traffic will continue to be moved as per the direction of flaggers.
Selak Street construction is mostly complete, allowing westbound traffic to access City Hall parking and make business deliveries, though Selak Street may also experience intermittent closures. Z Casino parking will be open and accessible from Selak Street.
Ongoing — Lower Main Street
Throughout the year, intermittent lane closures will occur on Lower Main Street in front of the Monarch Casino. Alternating traffic patterns and possible closures will take place during construction, however, access to both the Monarch and Isle parking garages will remain open.

Visit Black HawkOn 11/1/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to a domestic disturbance that took place at the Ameristar. A male party was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 11/2/20, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. After further investigation, a suspect was identified, contacted, and issued and released on a municipal summons for theft.
On 11/2/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a suspect using a stolen credit card/ number.
On 11/3/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a counterfeit fifty dollar bill. The suspect left prior to arrival.
On 11/3/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a possible fraudulent driver’s license. After further investigation, the driver’s license was deemed fake. The suspect was issued and released on a municipal summons, for false information.
On 11/3/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a found bag with suspicious contents that had been left at the Bell Desk of the hotel. The officer met with security and found that the bag had been at the Bell Desk of the Hotel for several months. In the bag was drug paraphernalia, washed checks, copies of ID’s and miscellaneous papers. No owner was identified and the bag was marked for destruction by property evidence.
On 11/4/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino regarding an assault and attempted strong arm robbery. The suspect fled on foot. The case remains active.
On 11/4/20, Black Hawk officers contacted a male party at the Ameristar Hotel for a welfare check. The party was later transported by ambulance to Lutheran Medical Center, for a mental health hold. He was contacted again the following day for similar issues.
On 11/5/20, a Black Hawk officer observed a suspicious occupied vehicle in the Isle Casino’s parking garage. The vehicle was found to be stolen. The suspect was released pending charges.
On 11/5/20, Black Hawk officers came across a person laying in a roadway. An ambulance was called and the person was transported.
On 11/5/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a person fighting with casino security. A person was identified.
On 11/6/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the report of a theft of cash at the Isle Casino. The investigation is ongoing.
On 11/7/20, Black Hawk officers responded to a possible physical altercation at the Ameristar Hotel. All parties were identified and the investigation is ongoing.
On 11/8/20, Black Hawk officers responded to The Lodge Casino regarding the theft of a cell phone. One person was issued a summons for theft and released.
On 11/8/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel in reference to an assault.
On 11/9/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of damage to a slot machine. After further investigation, the suspect was issued and released on a municipal summons for damage to private property.
On 11/9/20, Black Hawk officers responded to found drugs at the Ameristar Casino. The drugs were seized and booked for destruction.
On 11/10/20, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on report of damaged property. After further investigation the suspect was contacted and banned from the property for seven days.
On 11/10/20, a Black Hawk officer was dispatched to the Lady Luck Parking Garage, on the report of theft from a motor vehicle. No suspects were on scene. Case is under further investigation.
On 11/10/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the KMM Garage for a suspicious fire incident. A report was taken.
On 11/10/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino Sky Bridge on Main Street. A city plow truck was collecting snow and had the dump bed up too high and the strobe light hit two fire suppression heads and broke them.
On 11/11/20, a Black Hawk sergeant attempted to locate a fugitive for the Arvada Police Department. The suspect was located in the Gilpin Casino parking lot and was taken into custody and transferred to the Arvada Police Department.
On 11/11/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Isle Casino and Hotel on a report of a counterfeit $100. The individual passing the bill thought it was a real $100 bill and received it from a friend that had paid him with the bill for doing landscaping. The individual with the bill did not have any similar bills on his person.
On 11/13/20, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Isle Casino on the report of a cash theft.
On 11/13/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a suspicious activity involving a suspected drug. A case was open for this incident.
On 11/13/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Z Casino on the report of counterfeit bills used on the gambling floor. Two counterfeit bills were confiscated.
On 11/13/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found controlled substances. A suspect was identified, and a summons was issued.
On 11/14/20, Black Hawk officers were called to the Isle on the report of a found purse with multiple IDs in it. The owner was found.

On 11/14/20, a Black Hawk sergeant responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a party trespassing. The suspect was issued a municipal summons.
On 11/14/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the parking garage of the Ameristar Casino in reference to a subject that had just pulled the fire alarm. Subject was located and taken into custody.
On 11/15/20, Black Hawk officers took a report of a traffic crash on private property (Gilpin Valet Lot 126 Main Street).
On 11/15/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a possible intoxicated male wearing a gray sweatshirt and black running pants. The male party was reported to have come from Mardi Gras Casino. The officer walked through the Lodge Casino and was unable to locate the male. Security also advised the officer they checked all three floors and were unable to locate the male. The officer was later advised by dispatch the male party may have gone to his vehicle which was parked on level 5 of the KMM parking garage. The officer located the vehicle, a blue Pontiac bearing Nebraska License Plate #PYC 107. The officer cleared the license plate and dispatch advised the driver was revoked. The officer later observed the blue Pontiac exiting KMM parking garage. The vehicle turned right on Main Street and drove south. The vehicle then turned right on Miner’s Mesa and as the vehicle turned left to enter the Isle Parking Garage, the driver failed to signal. The officer initiated a traffic stop on level 2 of the parking garage. The officer smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage omitting from the driver’s breath, as well as the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was later arrested for DUI of Alcohol and Drugs, DUI Per SE, Revoked Driver’s License and Failure to Signal.
On 11/16/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to a trespass incident at the Lady Luck Casino. The suspect was contacted and issued summons.
On 11/16/20, Black Hawk officers contacted a theft suspect at the Monarch Casino. After further investigation, the suspect was contacted, and issued and released on a municipal summons for theft. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner.
On 11/17/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to Richman and Main Streets on a report of a sign which was down and appeared to be hit by a vehicle.
On 11/18/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a suicidal party at that location. Officers located the subject and he was transported to Lutheran Hospital by Gilpin EMS.
On 11/18/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit $20 bill. A case was open for this incident.
On 11/19/20, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a party refusing to leave the Lady Luck Casino.
On 11/20/20, The Black Hawk Police Department took a telephone report of a theft that occurred at the Lady Luck Casino. A suspect was identified and the items were recovered.
On 11/20/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Golden Gates Casino in reference to a fight in progress.
On 11/20/20, Black Hawk Police Officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a suicidal party report. One female party was transported to the hospital on an M1 hold.
On 11/21/20, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Isle Casino on a report of a party that had attempted to use another person’s identification. The party was contacted and issued a summons.
On 11/21/20, a Black Hawk sergeant responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. There is suspect information.
On 11/21/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a party possibly overdosing in the bathroom. The party was located and a large amount of drugs was seized. The investigation is ongoing.
On 11/22/20, Black Hawk officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on private property at the Lodge Casino.
On 11/22/20, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a medical call on the report of a male party stating he thinks someone threw acid on him. A report was taken.
On 11/23/20, a theft was reported to Black Hawk officers which occurred at the Wild Card Casino. A report was taken.
On 11/23/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of damage to a slot machine. After further investigation, the suspect was contacted and issued and released on a municipal summons for damage of property.
On 11/24/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino, for a trespass issue. Suspect was located and issued summons.
On 11/24/20, a Black Hawk officer completed a phone report of a party who lost his prescription.
O 11/24/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a damage to property report. A municipal summons was issued for this incident.
On 11/25/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a vehicle trespass. There is suspect information.
On 11/25/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a party down. Despite lifesaving efforts, the party could not be revived.
On 11/25/20, a disabled vehicle was located on the 500 block of Main Street. The vehicle had struck the center median. An accident report was completed.
On 11/26/20, Black Hawk Police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. A report was taken.
On 11/26/20, a Black Hawk sergeant took a telephone report regarding lost property at the Ameristar Casino. The party reported leaving a ring in one of the hotel rooms when they checked out and the ring had not been found.
On 11/27/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Hotel on the report of a stolen phone. An investigation was completed and the phone was not recovered. A report was completed.
On 11/27/20, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of menacing at the Lodge Casino. A suspect was identified and arrested.
On 11/28/20, the Black Hawk Police Department assisted the Gilpin Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Division of Gaming during the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
On 11/28/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a theft. The suspect was identified and the money was returned to the owner. A report was taken.
On 11/29/20, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a male party who dropped a large knife at the Ameristar Casino. The knife was collected and the party was identified.
On 11/29/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to an unresponsive party at the entrance of the Lady Luck parking garage.
On 11/29/20, a suspected DUI report was aired through Black Hawk Police Dispatch. It was stated that a female was at the Loaf and Jug in Golden and was driving intoxicated with her small child in the car. Black Hawk Police officers waited for the vehicle to pass them on Highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop. The female driver was arrested for DUI and child abuse. A report was taken.
On 11/30/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a gaming violation. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.
On 11/30/20, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Isle Casino parking garage for a stolen vehicle. Suspects were located and taken into custody.
On 11/30/20, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a hit and run. A report was taken.
